Enrolment

Enrolment Zone

As part of regular monitoring, the Ministry of Education has considered that an amendment to the enrolment zone is necessary for our school.

From Term 1 2026, we will have an enrolment scheme for the Scott Point community.

As directed by the Ministry of Education under clause 9(1) of Schedule 20 of the Education and Training Act 2020, the Scott Point School Board has adopted the enrolment scheme.

All students who live within the home zone will be entitled to enrol at the school.

Additional Entitlement to Enrol
This provision has been approved under Section 75(1)(b) of the Education and Training Act 2020.

For families of currently enrolled students whose addresses become out of zone as a result of this newly implemented Enrolment Scheme.

Section 75 of the Education and Training Act 2020 states that;

The enrolment scheme permits a student to enrol as if the student lived in the home zone of the school if,

(b) in the case of a new enrolment scheme, the student -
i. lives outside of the home zone of the new enrolment scheme; and
ii. has a sibling who is enrolled at the school at the time that the new enrolment scheme is implemented.

If applying for enrolment under this part of the Enrolment Scheme, the sibling’s name and evidence of a sibling relationship may be required by the school.
