Our School

Scott Point School is a modern primary school in Hobsonville, catering to learners from Years 1 to 8.
We opened in 2021 on a temporary campus and moved into our purpose-built facilities on Scott Road in 2022. As our school continues to grow, new learning spaces are being added.
Our spacious, flexible environments support collaborative teaching, with teams of three to four classes working together. We’re proud to offer a welcoming, inclusive setting where every child is supported to thrive through facilities designed for diverse learning styles.

At Scott Point School, we provide a high-quality education through well-designed learning programs, with student progress regularly monitored to ensure success. We use structured literacy and the PRIME Mathematics programme to build strong foundations in reading, writing, and numeracy.
Our learners enjoy hands-on experiences through STEAM and Akō Taiao classes throughout the year. In STEAM, students explore augmented reality, robotics, and coding, using tools like our green screen and audio recording rooms. They develop skills in art, botany, stop-motion animation, and even experiment with AI to create music and visual art.
Akō Taiao, meaning "learning in and from the environment", connects students with nature and sustainability. They've led projects on soil health, composting, and waste reduction, and are planning exciting initiatives like native plantings, a nature walk, butterfly gardens, and a school orchard. Coming soon: our Plant to Puku programme, where students will grow, cook, and enjoy their own food. These sessions also weave in rich aspects of te ao Māori
Beyond the classroom, we offer exciting opportunities in sports, arts and culture..

We welcome and celebrate every family in our community. Our school fosters a strong sense of pride and ownership, encouraging students to develop life skills, strong values, and good citizenship.
We embrace diversity, honoring culture and meaningful connections that make our school a special place for all.
